9/28/21 – PocketShip Centerboard Trunk Assembly

It was a heavy work day again but I got the centerboard trunk assembly started.

Using lots of clamps again during the epoxy join process.

PocketShip Centerboard box trunk assembly — Excess epoxy was cleaned up with stick and rag wet with denatured alcohol to prevent snags and prevent anything that will block free movement of the centerboard.

PocketShip Centerboard box trunk assembly — The nose for the keel is starting to fair out and getting cut to proper size. I changed out the bandsaw blade after I saw the scorch marks in a few spots.

PocketShip Centerboard box trunk assembly — Feeling progress with each little thing. The centerboard box is still curing so I’ll stop here for the day.
